Day 39

We were in the West End today eating lunch. We stopped by another restaurant to get a gift card for some friends, but they were closed. While we were stopped in the shopping center, I decided this would be a good place to search for interesting plants. There is still snow on the ground and in planters. The flowers here have all wilted. Still, no matter the state of decay, they are beautiful.

These were in a planter outside of the restaurant. The top of the planter was filled with snow that covered most of the flowers. There were some that had wilted and were hanging off the side. I photographed those.

When I was looking through the photos, I noticed this flower has a face in it's eaten petals. Not a skull, but sort of cheerful.

These bushes were along the side of a building. It was very windy, so this was the only good photo from this set for this plant. I like the knobby growth on the stems. There were various growths.
