Day 325

Today, we went to our friends' house for a band rehearsal. They have these neat bushes along the road, so I snapped a few quick photos before heading back to my house with a bandmate. While riding in the car, I noticed the beauty of the evening sky.

Day 324

The trees and sky at dusk from my daughter's bedroom window. I like taking some photos from inside the house, because I'm higher up than I would be when outside.

Day 279

Today, I watched for interesting things out of my living room window.

Seeing a butterfly is a rare treat. This Yellow Swallowtail stayed on the crape myrtle branch for a few minutes.

Later in the evening, I noticed two large spiders descend from my roof. There are lots of spider webs around the windows and on them. These two are definitely responsible for some large ones.

The bright dip in the clouds was actually pink.

Day 264

I was greeted by this little lizard, while getting out of my car. It ran off before I could take a better photo.

As dusk approaches, I like the sharp contrast of the things against the sky.

I saw this spider hanging off the gutter.

Day 236

Today went were worried about the rain, but thankfully the storm held off, so we were able to join our friends for fireworks.

I photographed this bird randomly while sticking my camera out the car window. I cropped the photo, so the bird stood out better.

We went to Byrd park with friends, to watch the fireworks. The sun was starting to set.

Day 162

Today, I took photos through my rainy living room windows, as the night got darker.

I tried to zoom in on the rain drops, at night. Instead of clear rain drops, I got blurry dots.

Day 143

Today, I was still in Falls Church hanging out with some friends. While riding in the back seat, I took a few photos out the window of the car.

This one is by far, my favorite. I know what I see in this cloud. What do you see?

Later in the day, Kit and I headed back to Richmond. I dropped her off at her house, before I went to my house.

The trees above the driveway, have small green leaves growing on the branches.

On the way to my house, the sun was setting. I stopped in the parking lot of a community center near my house, to take a photo of it. I love how the lines from planes show in the sky and the sun radiates in circle.

Day 141

Today was overcast. I finished come errands before meeting my best friend in the evening, so we could leave for our trip in the morning.

I went to the grocery store to buy some lunch for today and breakfast for Sunday.

The maple trees were covered with red helicopter seeds. I call them helicopter seeds because if you drop one from high up, they will spin down like a helicopter propeller

There were trees with yellow blooms, bundled up for sale, outside of the grocery store.

These white petals had fallen off of the trees at the post office.

This non-bloomed dandelion was amongst the fallen petals.

On the way to my best friend's house, the sun was setting between the trees near her house.

Day 106

Today, the wind was blowing the trees strongly and the clouds were moving quickly. During the day, I took a still photo and many photos to make a couple stop motion movies of the wind moving the trees and clouds.

This is while the wind was blowing. A bird was flying around. I was lucky enough to take a photo of it.

To better show how the wind effected the trees and clouds, I made two stop motion movies.

Later in the day, taking advantage of the bright sunlight, I took a photo of my long shadow. You can't see defined legs, because I was wearing a long skirt.

This is the sun blazing through the trees. Notice, the clouds have moved away.

In the evening, we all headed out to a friend's house for dinner.

On the way we stopped at a bakery for fancy breads. John went inside to buy the bread. Alex and I waited at the car. I took a photo of the pretty sunset with the cloud free sky.

Day 84

I wanted to re-explore shooting trees by laying the camera on the ground or propping it with a rock or stick. These were taken at dusk. I would have taken more photos, at different angles, but an animal started growling and chirping at me. I figured it was a raccoon or opossum. I didn't want to piss them off. I prefer not to get rabies while doing this project. I used my night setting and a 2 second delay...so I wouldn't be in the photo.

This was propped up against a rock. This is also the point the animal growled at me...so I stopped. I'll revisit this tomorrow in the day.
