Day 262 - Photo Effects

I liked the cloud variance in the panoramic I took. Since sky photos work well for photo effects, I decided to play with it. I used Picnik for this. Since pans look better larger, you definitely want to click on the photos to see the color details better.

Day 261

Today Kit and I were in Northern Va visiting our best friend Katie for the weekend.

There are rose bushes in front of her apartment.

Later in the day, we went to her in-iaw's house because it was her sister-in-law's birthday. The Trans grow lots of fruits and herbs.

Day 143

Today, I was still in Falls Church hanging out with some friends. While riding in the back seat, I took a few photos out the window of the car.

This one is by far, my favorite. I know what I see in this cloud. What do you see?

Later in the day, Kit and I headed back to Richmond. I dropped her off at her house, before I went to my house.

The trees above the driveway, have small green leaves growing on the branches.

On the way to my house, the sun was setting. I stopped in the parking lot of a community center near my house, to take a photo of it. I love how the lines from planes show in the sky and the sun radiates in circle.

Day 142

Today, my best friend Kit McSmash and I headed to Falls Church, VA for our friend's 30th b-day party.

Recently, Kit had planted new Azalea bushes. They had a few buds and blooms. 

She has a different kind of wild purple flower growing in her yard.

While she was at the ATM, I took a photo of some of the rain clouds. The rain started right after she finished her transaction.

We got to Falls Church, VA at about 3pm. All of us headed out to a Korean bakery before the party. By their apartment, are many cherry trees, full of blossoms. The Cherry Blossom Festival is going on in Washington, DC, which is near by, but we didn't have time this trip to go.

Day 94

We headed to DC to see Emilie Autumn and the Bloody Crumpets perform. John drove. I rode and took photos along the way. Taking photos while moving in a car is difficult, but I like a challenge. It was about 4:30pm when we left Richmond, so I enjoyed taking photos of the sun setting. Of course, I like that any time, but the change of scenery was nice.

Though this one is blurry, I do like it. Since this was taken while we were in transit and with the lighting from the sun, it works well to show motion.

I was determined to get a good shot of the sun along the tree tops. This glowing sun photo was a happy accident.

The way the sun is back lighting the trees, gives an eerie feel to this photo.

I liked being able to see the variations in clouds and the streaks from planes. The lighting showed off the majesty of the sky.

In the past, I've had good luck with taking photos looking back. Thought this doesn't show anything special with the trees, I did like the effect of the blurred and hurried road.

This is the sunset. The way this shot ended up being, makes me feel very small in comparison to the grand sky above.
