Day 134

I kept my camera handy throughout the day.

On the way to the bus stop, I took a panoramic of Alex walking and some of the trees along the path.

These purple flowers grew within the last few days.

The moon still showed in the sky, as the sun was rising higher.

I forgot this little creature the 1st time I posted this entry. I'm not sure how that happened. Anyway, this squirrel surprised me. It stayed calm about a foot away from me. I didn't notice it was there until I was that close. It hopped about 2 feet in front of me and then to my other side, just watching me. I guess I'm weird to them, because I don't try to threaten them. Look at those little hands, ears and bush tail! So cute!

John and I went to Carytown for lunch. As we were walking from Can Can to Premiere Costumes, I noticed this dead ivy still clinging to the high wall. The ivy below that had been cut away from the wall, but the trails of it still showed.

I bought some dessert at Jean Jacques, and took a panoramic of the clouds, from the parking lot.

On the way to the playground, I took a photo of one of the many buds that fell during the last long storm.

While at the playground, I took a panoramic of the trees in front of it.

On the way back to the house, I noticed this large fly. It was about the size of my thumb. The close up makes it creepier looking.

In the evening, Alex and I went to a photography show. When we arrived back home, the sky had a reddish glow. I used the hand held twilight setting to capture the trees in this lightened night sky.

Day 127

Today, we will start with a sunrise and end with a sunset.

This is a little after 8am.

There were many birds flying around the area. This one was perched on a rooftop.

These two were in this tree.

Later in the day, we went to Carytown to restock hair accessories in One Eyed Jacques and meet some friends for dinner.

This is the evening sun.

There are wild plants growing anywhere dirt is. This one is on the sidewalk.

This tree was sculpted to a point. It had large green buds on it's branches.

The sunset had started.

By the time we arrived home, at about 8:30 pm, the sun had set and the full moon shown brightly.

Day 37

Today was a very busy day, which included lunch with Noah, John and Alex at Mom's Siam. I saw these plants outside the restaurant. There is still snow on the ground, so these were in various states of freezing death.

My camera didn't focus on the tip, but I do like that it picked up the veins of the petal.

This is a dead base of the pink flowers.

These are a different pink flower.

John thinks that these plants (which were abundant) are Thai chilies, which is appropriate since Mom's Siam is a Thai restaurant.

Day 30

Today I went to Carytown, in the city to eat lunch and go shopping with Kit McSmash. I noticed a few neat looking trees and a wall of ivy during the time there.

This is a Crape Myrtle that has seed buds. The buds are a dark brown color.

I like how this tree was almost bare at the top, with the exception of that one leaf at the very top. I think the leaves at the bottom are from other trees. Again, this grouping arcs, which is pretty.

There are a couple walls of ivy near a fancy restaurant. I took a few photos of the leaves, but I liked this broken one the best.

This tree has beautiful yellow leaves. My camera doesn't like capturing color against an overcast sky, but at least it did capture the leaf shapes.

Day 22

One of my favorite things to do in the morning is watch the birds in the Holly tree from our large living room windows. Today I noticed this squirrel in a closer tree. He was eating something and not bothered by my furry assistant (Pippi, the cat) watching him.

I walked out front. Inoticed that one of the fallen Camellia blooms that I had placed on the step yesterday, had been nibbled on. I will assume by a squirrel, but we also have chipmunks.

This is a tree that I noticed as I was walking back to my car nearish to Mom's Siam in Carytown.
