Day 423

After leaving a restaurant we ate dinner at, I noticed how nice the clouds and moon looked.

Day 387

Today, there was a full moon. I first noticed it with beautiful clouds around it, but by the time I could photograph it, the clouds had dispersed.

Day 376

There was a beautiful sky tonight with light clouds, but I couldn't get a nice photo that included the clouds. However, I did get a night shot of the moon without the clouds.

Day 368

Tonight we went to Alex's school for a dance. Before we went inside the school, the moon was shining bright through a thin layer of clouds. The clouds caused the light to form a halo around the moon. After the dance, the clouds were gone and so was the halo.

Day 365

While I was pumping gas, I noticed these vibrantly colored crape myrtle trees in the near by parking lot. Since today is the last day of this project, there will be more photos than normal. Oddly, this set turned out a lot better than past sets. Maybe 365 days of practice helps...just maybe...or yes.

I've been tracking the moon cycle all month. It's sort of perfect that tonight it's a full moon.

Day 361

The sky is clear tonight, so the moon glowed brightly. This is not quite a full moon, but it's close.

Day 356

The moon is half full. I took photos as the evening light dimmed.

Day 236

Today went were worried about the rain, but thankfully the storm held off, so we were able to join our friends for fireworks.

Intense sun behind the trees

Sun glowing through the clouds and trees

New acorns. This cluster fell during last night's storm.

I photographed this bird randomly while sticking my camera out the car window. I cropped the photo, so the bird stood out better.

We went to Byrd park with friends, to watch the fireworks. The sun was starting to set.

Crescent moon

I took lot of firework photos. Since they are man made item, I'm only including two for festiveness. However, if you look closely at the bottom left, there are trees in the photo.

Day 216

Today I took photos of the sun pouring through the Holly tree and the full moon.

Day 211

Today, I took a few photos as we left the house for dinner and after dinner.

The hill in front of our house is covered in ivy and small trees, like these pines. It's a mess.

No mater how many times I tried to photograph the sun, the rays looked exactly the same. It was odd.

The moon has progressed further towards a full moon.

Day 209

Tonight, I went outside with a hope of being able to photograph lightning bugs. That didn't happen. However, I was able to take a few detailed photos of a half moon. I had altered the zoom setting on my camera, yesterday. Instead of the normal 20x zoom, I altered it to 40x, which made for being able to take this photo.

Since this was the best photo of the evening, I decided use photoshop to alter it and bring out the detail more artistically.

Day 158

Tonight, I wanted to take photos of the full moon, through the light clouds.

This is from inside the house, through a living room window.

This is outside, from the parking lot.

While I was outside, I heard insects landing on the lamp by the steps.
