Day 428

Today, we had rain off and on through out the day. I was a companion and passenger today, with my husband. This makes for fun photo taking in the car, of the rain on the windshield and blurred trees in the background. We stopped in Carytown for lunch, but parked in the neighborhood behind it, where there were many beautiful wet flowers.

Day 392

Today, the sky was clear, and the snow was melting.

This is the sunlight reflecting off the wet parking lot.

Day 352

Today, we had rain and wind.

This leaf clung to our living room window with the rain drops.

While riding in the car, the rain drops rode with us.

Day 342

My favorite thing to do when walking around, it to admire the beautiful fallen leaves. Since it's Autumn here, the colors are varied.

Day 300

Since today is the 300th day of this project, I thought I would do a big post. Today, we had rain again. I went outside while the rain stopped, to photograph the wet leaves and flowers. My camera fogged up immediately due to the temperature change. I lightly rubbed the lens, to dissipate the water faster. This helped with focusing, but distorted the backgrounds in ripples. Sort of magical looking.

Japanese Maple leaves

I tried to focus on the large rain drop, but the camera focused on the leaves behind it instead.

This rose like flower was laying on an flipped planter and partially submerged in water.

Day 289

Today, Hurricane Irene brought us a tropical storm! It was scary to watch the largest tree sway around in a 20 foot radius! Thankfully, we know that trees don't get that large without being strong. It's nestled with several other tall trees. I took photos from safely inside my house. We are supposed to stay away from windows during the storm, but honestly, it wasn't that impressive of a storm compared to others that we've had. However, it knocked out the power lines in mass for several day. This my friends, it a back dated post. We didn't have power from Saturday night until Thursday evening. I frantically had to use my parents house, Friendly's and Noah Scalin's house during that time to recharge electronics and access the internet for my business. Craziness! Ok, on to the photos and videos!

Day 288

There is a tropical storm headed this way tomorrow. The hurricane portion will hit the coast line, but since we are not on the coast, we will just have a severe storm. I'm not looking forward to it, but today has been relatively calm and a bit wet. Since the rain had stopped and the outside temperature was cool, I decided it would be a good chance to photograph wet leaves on the Camellia bush.

Day 239

Today, we had more rain. I stayed indoors and took more photos from my living room window.

I thought this one looked like a bunny or a dachshund.
