Yesterday, we went to our friends' house for a monthly cook out. While there, we found a baby praying mantis. Our friends have several hens. These are two of the feathered ladies.

Day 325
Today, we went to our friends' house for a band rehearsal. They have these neat bushes along the road, so I snapped a few quick photos before heading back to my house with a bandmate. While riding in the car, I noticed the beauty of the evening sky.

Day 268
First, Alex and I went to craft stores in search of Halloween and Fall supplies to make hair accessories.
There was this patch of clouds that looked amazingly fluffy and layered.
Later in the evening, we went to a couple of friends' house. I took my camera outside and it immediately fogged up. Since it wouldn't unfog any time soon, I took a few photos using the haziness to my advantage.
Mushrooms
Leaves against the sky
Sky, clouds and trees
As the camera started to defog, there was a small circle of fog left on the lens. I took advantage of this and centered that over the flame to create a defused glow.

Day 231
Today, we went to a friend's neighborhood pool for a few hours to let the girls play. I remembered my camera, but not my battery. Heather suggested that I use my camera phone, in hopes that it would take decent photos. These are photos of the foliage that overlapped the fence and provided us with shade. It's nice to know that my camera phone can be a nice back up.

Day 198
Today I went to the house of two close friends, to celebrate the birthday of one of them. Before starting to drink the Lambic that my husband bought for the lady of the house and I to share, I took some photos of a tree.

Day 142
Today, my best friend Kit McSmash and I headed to Falls Church, VA for our friend's 30th b-day party.
Recently, Kit had planted new Azalea bushes. They had a few buds and blooms.
She has a different kind of wild purple flower growing in her yard.
While she was at the ATM, I took a photo of some of the rain clouds. The rain started right after she finished her transaction.
We got to Falls Church, VA at about 3pm. All of us headed out to a Korean bakery before the party. By their apartment, are many cherry trees, full of blossoms. The Cherry Blossom Festival is going on in Washington, DC, which is near by, but we didn't have time this trip to go.

Day 115
Today started with a meeting at a friend's house and errands to pick up fun things like a sketch book, a cd and a book.
In front of my friend's house, is this neat bush. The photo of the bush didn't come out as planned, but the close up is still neat.
After brunch at Can-Can (I would have taken Carytown photos, but the rain was pouring after brunch), we parted ways. Alex and I went to finish errands before heading home.
At Best Buy, I noticed this tree beside our car had this pretty striped effect due to being wet.
You can see the stripes and a bit of moss like fungi...or fungi like moss. I'm not sure what it is.
The tree has buds for leaves or flowers.
We went to Barnes and Noble at the mall to buy a book. The sky was beautiful with the wispy clouds below the overcast thickeness.
