While at Alex's school to meet her teacher, I noticed a pine tree had been chopped up near where I parked. It smelled great!

Day 208

This morning, I met up with my friend Amanda Erickson to take some photos at Maymont. I haven't been to Maymont since March and the temperature was about 80, so it was a great excuse to go there.

On the way back from the bus stop, I took a few photos.

Lately, the chipmunks have been very brave around me. They are so cute.

The Japanese Maple has been nibbled on by caterpillars.

Today, I photographed plants that had fallen.

I liked the colorful cluster of baby pine cones on this fallen twig.

I like the spiky shadow and needles this fallen pine twig has.

I'm not sure if these are pollen or flower buds.

A different type, but I'm also not sure if it's pollen or for leaves.

I like the colors and pattern of this fallen bark.

Day 102

Today, Alex and I took a walk to the playground. While she was playing, I took photos.

These flowers are sprouting up next to the swing set. I think they are Daffodils, but I won't be certain until it blooms.

This is a gumball nestled in the sprouting flowers.

The trees in our neighborhood are beautiful. I love photographing them in different ways. They are nature's sculptures.

This is towards the marsh area. I love how much they look like mysterious dangerous woods, when photographed, but in reality, they look very inviting.

Alex was sitting on a boulder playing the "drums" with sticks.

I like the light edges on this type of pine cone.

There are sections of freshly fallen pin needles laying on the long dead ones.

Day 69

It was still rainy and overcast this morning, so I took photos of wet plants. The weather has improved.

I liked the discoloration in this pile of wet leaves.

These red berries had lovely clinging drops of water.

Some of the gumballs were dark when wet...

...and some were normal colored.

The pine cones were dark from the rain.
