Day 327

Today, there were a couple crows closer to me as I was walking to the bus stop. At the bus stop, there were many of them flying quickly above the trees. I managed to photograph two. The sky was a beautiful  overcast.

Day 315

Today, some of the crows were eating crushed nuts in the parking lot. They wouldn't let me get very close without flying off.

Day 118

Today, I stayed at the house so I could work on a project.

While I was working, Pippi squirrel friend came for a visit. I think this squirrel needs a name. You all can pick ones and I'll choose my favorite.

Alex went to the neighbor's house after school, so I took a few photos along the path way.

These trees have red buds on them.

I noticed some purple flowers in another neighbor's garden.

In front of our house, I noticed these violets growing.

When I was editing the above photo, I noticed this little bug on one of the buds. It looks like it's shaking it's fist at me...hehe.

Day 111

Today, I was working on projects.

On the way back from the bus stop, with Alex, I noticed there were three crows in the trees along our path. We stopped, so I could photograph them.

Two had flown away, so I had Alex walk towards the last, a bit, so I could photograph it flying.

I noticed another flower starting to come out of the ground.

At night, Pippi (our cat) likes to play "Pippi vs. Moth" and frantically follow the moth along the window as it flies. Tonight, there were three moths, so she was extra frantic.

Up close, these are a lot freakier looking than in real life. They didn't like the red focus light or the flash.

All the flashing light, annoyed this spider, that came out to see what was going on. Upon using the light on it, it ran off to hide. Yes, there is this funky spider web on our window. The dots are paint splatter from the painters that came a few months ago.

Day 103

Today, the air was very cold and snow was falling lightly. There wasn't enough snow to stick to the ground, but definitely enough to make me cold while photographing. John and I needed to go grocery shopping and wanted lunch. While our lunch was being made, I went outside to take photos.

There were many birds in the area. I was able to easily take photos of the geese in the pond.

This is a goose behind a Weeping Willow. 

I loved how clear the reflections of the geese were. This clarity was due to the still water and overcast sky.

The water rippled in circles as these geese slowly moved.

These are some trees along one entrance of this shopping center.

There were crows flying high around the trees. There are three in this photo. Can you find them all?

Day 99

This post is in order of how the day went. I took my camera with me while doing errands, so this is also a photo heavy post. I made the photos a medium size on here, because the post is having trouble handling large photos. Click on the photos to see a larger version.

I wanted to start the day by documenting the sun rise. I don't mean just my normal view of the pinks and oranges as the sun starts to rise. I wanted to show it moving up the sky. There will be a few more later in this post of the sun later in the day. I love how bright it is even in photos, but of course safe to look at then.

One of our resident crows was perched in a tree.

There were workers repaving half of our main street, so while I was stopped I took some photos of the forest on one side of the street.

There are several smaller trees with yellow leaves, among the towering trees in this forest. It's more beautiful in person. This is private land for a juvenile correction center (jail for minors/children). Besides the kids that live on the land, there are deers too...and other normal animals.

Two of our resident squirrels were playing tag or who ever gets the nut wins. This is one of them, the victor, hanging from a tree, eating the nut. It let me get fairly close to it.

I headed back out to finish my errands. I took advantage of the fact that this half if the street was blocked from traffic for a bit and drove very slow while taking photos.

The main street to get to our house is very curvy. It used to be curvier, but as you can see in this photo, part of it has been straightened and the trees are cut back along the road in this section.

It's still curvy in other parts.

I love how intense the sun is in this photo. I definitely enjoyed the 78* weather.

This is in a parking lot of one of the places I stopped at. The sky looked so beautiful.

The traffic was stopped again on the way home. It's irritating to sit still for 20 minutes 10 feet away from the road to my house. However, I got to take photos of the other side of the road, so I wasn't bored. Also, I love mentally messing with people by having a camera out while people pass.

I think this is where there is a marshy area.

I love seeing trees touching. These two remind me of a couple, snuggling.

Later in the evening, I went to dinner with a group of 365 project ladies. When I arrived home after dinner, I noticed how lovely the sky looked with the full moon. I took this photo by resting my camera against my purse, on top of my car. I used the night setting and a 2 second delay.

Day 97

Alex was still sick, so I stayed inside with her today. Thankfully, we have some crows living here now and the wind was blowing hard.

This is a crow in the creek behind our house.

A squirrel hopped by while the crow was in the creek.

The wind was blowing hard. It was moving the tree limbs and leaves around briskly. I took photos using my continuous shooting setting. I kept the camera in one position, because the wind is the star here. I used a movie software that my computer came with, to string the photos together and make a movie. I tried uploading it with the blogger option, but the quality was bad. Instead, I used YouTube, which was surprisingly easy to use.

Day 90

This morning was bright and sunny, but it quickly turned overcast. In hopes that the sun would shine again, I worked on stock.

While I was working, I heard some Crows outside. I went on the balcony and captured these two.

When I went to meet Alex at the bus stop, the sun was shining brightly through the trees.

It was shining so intensely that it made vision difficult. Thankfully, my camera has no problem staring at it. It had an eerie white glow through the Pine trees.

It wasn't a circle, but this blob of light.

It was so bright, it blurred out some of the trees.

Later, at night, the sky was pink. Because I used the night setting, the exposure is prolong. Instead of my camera capturing a pink glow, it intensified the color to a red. The intensified color reminded me of fire.
