Day 173

Today we stayed at the hotel most of the day. We encountered a lot of animals.

The turtles were easier to see today.

There were lots of lizards around the hot tub. They weren't attracted by the water, but by the stacked rocks around the tub. They are all the same type of lizard, but different colors. We realized that this type of lizard changes colors.

After dinner, we walked around the hotel grounds to see what other neat things we could find.

This is a male and female duck. We didn't see any females yesterday, so she was new.

These white birds were busily eating from the plants. I suspect there were insects or worms among the leaves.

Day 156

Today had sporadic rain storms, but that didn't stop us from having fun and from me taking rainy photos.

I love watching the rain from the living room windows. We have huge windows, so the view is beautiful.

On the way to meet Noah and Jess for brunch, I took some photos through the rainy car windows.

This is the James River and my favorite train bridge.

After brunch, John and I headed to my parents house to take care of their fuzzy kitty children.

When we got home, the rain started pouring harder and streaking the living room windows.

Day 126

After school, Alex and I took a walk through part of our neighborhood.

Day 117

Today, I stayed at our house, with the exception of walking Alex to and from the bus stop. On the way back from the bus stop, I took a few photos of new things along the path

These yellow wax like flowers have bloomed on a bush.

These leaves for flowers have grown, but no flowers yet.

There had been rain earlier in the day. These wet rocks showed colorful patterns.

Because the day was also cold, the flowers had closed up.

The sun in the back yard was shining bright. I like the way it glistens off the water in the creek.

Day 102

Today, Alex and I took a walk to the playground. While she was playing, I took photos.

These flowers are sprouting up next to the swing set. I think they are Daffodils, but I won't be certain until it blooms.

This is a gumball nestled in the sprouting flowers.

The trees in our neighborhood are beautiful. I love photographing them in different ways. They are nature's sculptures.

This is towards the marsh area. I love how much they look like mysterious dangerous woods, when photographed, but in reality, they look very inviting.

Alex was sitting on a boulder playing the "drums" with sticks.

I like the light edges on this type of pine cone.

There are sections of freshly fallen pin needles laying on the long dead ones.
