Day 327

Today, there were a couple crows closer to me as I was walking to the bus stop. At the bus stop, there were many of them flying quickly above the trees. I managed to photograph two. The sky was a beautiful  overcast.

Day 318

More mushrooms have been sprouting up. The existing ones grow larger every day. Reasoning for the increased population is thought to be due to the recent hurricane blowing spores around in combination with the wet, dark and warm weather.

Overcast and sunny at the same time...wet, dark and warm.

Day 316

I needed to go to the post office and the grocery store, despite the downpour of rain. For a change of place, I took rain photos from inside my car. Thankfully, in the evening the rain stopped and the sky was beautifully lit with glowing clouds.

Day 296

While in Carytown eating frozen yogurt outside of Sweet Frog, I watched the storm clouds roll in.

Day 276

This morning, the large high windows were covered lightly with rain drops. The sun was pouring through the windows strong and high above the trees. The way the sun was back lighting the trees in combo with the many clouds, created a high contrast. The sky color variations are caused by the clouds. There is some shadowing. There is clear separations of foreground and background. The white dots in the 3rd photo are from the rain drops on the window. When I zoom and focus on something behind them, they will sometimes blur. All of this is naturally occurring, which is what makes these so interesting. They wouldn't be as exciting if I made them in Photoshop...which by the way, I couldn't figure out how to use for something like this.

Day 239

Today, we had more rain. I stayed indoors and took more photos from my living room window.

I thought this one looked like a bunny or a dachshund.

Day 235 - Independence Day

Today was stormy and the fireworks were canceled where we wanted to see them...and most other places. We are supposed to have rain for the rest of the week, so unfortunately there might not be any more fireworks for us to see.

The wind was blowing strongly through the trees. I figured out the rapid shutter option on my camera, so I used it to make a stop motion film of the wind. I put 2 sets into one film.

I took a few photos of the storm clouds before the rain and the rain on various windows.

The streaks are from the wipers.

Because the fireworks were canceled, we headed to Friendly's for dessert. The windows were fogged and streaked.

Day 215

Today, I used the 40x zoom on the leaves beside the living room windows. Our window are about 40 y/o and rippled. This caused a shadow or doubling effect when fully zoomed. The high contrast is due to the sky being overcast.

Day 212

Today we attended the wedding of two friends. Before the reception and the rain started, I took a few photos. I took a few between bursts of rain too.
