Day 401

This morning, we had a dense fog. I took Alex to her running club. While the club members ran around the track, I took advantage of the fog, and trees that surround the school.

Afterwards, I did some errands. The sun was a bright white circle in the sky. It's rare to be able to look straight at the sun without eye pain. I took zoomed photos of the sun, like I do with my moon photos, but I don't think they are very interesting. This one of the glow through the fog, was more interesting to me.

Day 381

Today, there was rain, but after a year of embracing it with amazing photos, I've grown to enjoy rainy days. Today we had several places to drive to. John drove while I took these photos heading out for part of the day and heading home at the end of our adventures.

Day 369

Early one morning, the windows were fogged again. The sun hadn't crested over the horizon yet, but it's light gave a pale glow through the trees. The fog diffuses the light, making it softer. I like to focus my camera on the water droplets that cling to the window, so the back ground is obscured.

Day 367

A few days before, my husband and daughter had drawn on our fogged living room windows. The oils in their fingers caused long term streaks, which reapeared streaked when the windows fogged one morning. These are taken through fogged streaked windows with the bright early morning sunrise coming through the trees and windows.

Day 364

Today, we awoke to more fog. I took some photos while waiting for Alex's bus.

Later in the morning, I had to go pick something up, in the city. Traffic was sparse on the bridge, so I was able to take a photo of the fog on the river and around the train bridge. I'm a very careful driver and after this project, I can take a lot of photos while moving quickly. I didn't take a panoramic. I cropped it, so you didn't see the interior of my car, the road and a lot of foggy sky. Instead you see the pretty part.

Day 350

Though today was a beautiful warm day, the upper living room windows started out fogged.

Day 269

This morning, I woke to the windows fogged up and streaked. Before the fog faded, I took some photos.

This is a spider web clinging to the window.

I love how the clouds looked distorted by the fog.

Later in the day we had rain and an amazing sunset.

Day 268

First, Alex and I went to craft stores in search of Halloween and Fall supplies to make hair accessories.

There was this patch of clouds that looked amazingly fluffy and layered.

Later in the evening, we went to a couple of friends' house. I took my camera outside and it immediately fogged up. Since it wouldn't unfog any time soon, I took a few photos using the haziness to my advantage.

As the camera started to defog, there was a small circle of fog left on the lens. I took advantage of this and centered that over the flame to create a defused glow.

Day 235 - Independence Day

Today was stormy and the fireworks were canceled where we wanted to see them...and most other places. We are supposed to have rain for the rest of the week, so unfortunately there might not be any more fireworks for us to see.

The wind was blowing strongly through the trees. I figured out the rapid shutter option on my camera, so I used it to make a stop motion film of the wind. I put 2 sets into one film.

I took a few photos of the storm clouds before the rain and the rain on various windows.

Because the fireworks were canceled, we headed to Friendly's for dessert. The windows were fogged and streaked.

Day 190

Last night, I slept downstairs, because John wasn't feeling well. I woke to the morning dew or rain causing a wet fog to streak the upper windows.
