Day 323

I didn't feel like venturing out today, so I took photos of the holly tree from inside.

Day 321

More mushrooms. It's just that kind of week. All but the last photo are newly sprouted. The last one shows a decaying mushroom. The red ones must be edible, because all of them have nibbles, or have been devoured by animals. Any clue what kind this is?

The cluster mushrooms have melted down, are rotting and attracting flies. Very gross decaying process. Unlike any of the others.

Photo Effects - Mushroom Madness

Since there have been a lot of mushrooms growing here, I had to make a photo effects post that is a bit trippy. These are from different days over the past couple weeks. I've linked the days, so you can see the unaltered photos if you wish and so you know which day they are from.

Day 320

I found more mushrooms growing around the grounds. From the temperature change and humidity, my camera lens fogged and unfogged while taking photos. This makes the mushrooms appear more magical.

After a light rain, the large cluster of mushrooms beside our house started rotting.

Day 319

More mushrooms have sprung up. The older ones have been nibbled on by animals.

Day 318

More mushrooms have been sprouting up. The existing ones grow larger every day. Reasoning for the increased population is thought to be due to the recent hurricane blowing spores around in combination with the wet, dark and warm weather.

Overcast and sunny at the same time...wet, dark and warm.

Day 317

We had planned on going to Busch Gardens or the Norfolk Zoo (Virginia Zoological Park), but the rain dashed those plans. Still, we wanted crab legs, to get out of the house and ice cream. So, we drove to  Hampton, Va...well mostly because of the crab legs from Joe's Crab Shack. There isn't one of those in Richmond.

The restaurant is beside a Bass Pro Shop, which has water lilies and roses outside it.

Back at home, there were more mushrooms. The wet weather has breed them quickly and in many varieties. Unfortunately the mini cluster ones that sprang up smell disgusting when they rot. I need to get rid of those. The rest are fine.

Day 316

I needed to go to the post office and the grocery store, despite the downpour of rain. For a change of place, I took rain photos from inside my car. Thankfully, in the evening the rain stopped and the sky was beautifully lit with glowing clouds.
